Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk again about Ikoku Meiro no Croisee, an anime series of this summer season 2011 I neglected in the past weeks, but that managed to keep up the same level of cuteness through the three episodes we'll be covering today that is the 7th, 8th and 9th episode!
These three episode focus a lot on the Blanche family and the connection between Camille and Claude and how this relate to the actual relationship of Yune with Claude. As I thought in the past, yes Camille was in love with Claude, but their love was impossible due to big differences in the social status of the two.
I liked the development around Camille's character and the background story around her past as shown in the 9th episode even if it was honestly a little heart strucking watching her lose her love to the social rules being bound into a bird cage without chance to escape...

It was also quite nice when showing her clear jealousy and irritated behaviour toward Yune whenever she talk about Claude or do something for him making it very clear that she loves him even now. Obviously that is before Yune melt her heart with her copyrighted spell "cuteness-overload" that is able to cast everyone in a state of pure submission.
In the 7th episode, they give a lot of screen time to the robber child that is shown not to be entirely evil as we previously thought. He is melted and converted as well, pretty much like everyone who meet Yune till this point and will probably try hard not to steal in the future. (maybe he'll have more screen time in the future?)
By the way Claude was damn annoying in these episodes honestly and I seriously hope he'll redeem himself sooner or later. All his shouting at Yune, while technically correct, wasn't the best way to approach a little girl and ended up making her cry. Please raise your hand if you wanted to punch him at that time!

Let's now talk about the highlight of these three episodes. Yes, because the highlight was without any doubt the appearance of the loli version of Alice as shown in the flashback of the past when Alice was 10 playing in her room together with her sister Camille.
I was really in awe after hearing her energetic voice full of dreams narrating the story she wrote with all that energy and passion that few child in anime manages to trasmit to the viewer! It was a little cheesy to hear that she thought about encountering Yune from such a young age, but we can forgive such a little detail.
Next episode seems like we'll get more flashback from Claude talking about his father and probably how his passion for the work started. Obviously we also get some other crazy action from the duo Yune/Alice revolving around a projector.

What else to say? I'm extremely looking forward for more episodes of Ikoku Meiro no Croisee, a series that is able to deliver a plot continuinity and entertainment without really having a storyline to follow.
See you soon,
