Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk again about Mayo Chiki, the best fanservice series of this summer season 2011 that is continuing with the 7th and 8th episode to give us plenty of laughs and fanservice scenes revolving our many heroines.
The plot continue to be as thin as air, but having passed the middle of the series there isn't much to do about it other than just wait for the end and see what will remain in our heart of Mayo Chiki in some months from now. (Maybe they'll try to put up a "story" right at the end in Infinite Stratos fashion?!)

The seventh episode revolve the kidnapping and "misfortune" of our protagonist that "unfortunately" ended up alone in the same bed with a almost naked Kanade in a private inn near an unnamed beach.
Give some attention to the quotes I used, because I can't get more sarcastic than this...I mean, you end up with a lot of girls in a private inn, you're the only male and you call it a "misfortune"?! Please spare me already...especially when you have a cute Usami doing the rabbit imitation just to be in the same room as you...
Rant aside the episode doesn't fail to deliver funny jokes (loved the scene with Subaru's father) and some fanservice scene here and there. They also actually implied that there is some bigger reason driving Kanade to kidnap our protagonist and at first I thought she was going to get into some kind of arranged marriage...

...but I was quite off the mark this time around. In the 8th episode we get one of the most cute and emotional scene of this series with Subaru revealing her weak side to Jirou in front of her mother grave that is located near the inn and was the reason of why Kanade decided to do this travel.
It was a rather touching scene that shows the bond they created between the two protagonists, but it was quickly covered by the crazyness of the battle royale with Nakuru using her powers to create chaos and give us some necessary fanservice scene of Usami and Kureha!
After the "refreshing" battle (won by Kanade with her dirty methods of course), the episode was nearing the end and I thought that nothing else was going to happen...but Subaru managed to surprise me by refusing to be just friend with Jirou. (implying that she want to be his lover)
Now the question is, will they make this become a joke right in the next episode (or even forget completely about it) or they'll really make this an official declaration of love from Subaru to Jirou?!

Concluding, Mayo Chiki is turning out as a quite good series for random entertainment and I hope they'll be able to keep up this level through the rest of the episodes.
See you soon,

P.S. By the way, I also finished reading the manga first two volumes and they were quite good and consistent with the anime's story! (The graphical design are really better in the manga compared to the anime...)
