Hello everyone,
Yes, they've done it again. In this 21th episode of the anime series Steins Gate, they continued to enforce the drama around Mayuri's "destiny" and continued to torture us with her death, probably as a way to increase the tension before the grand finale...
This episode was by far the most emotional out there for me, even more than the episode involving the many Mayuri's death in the past...Why?
Well, they've finally gone far into the Mayuri / Okabe relationship, and they've shown how much they care for each other with actions and with words. Both of them are able to sacrifice their life for the other without hesitation as shown by Mayuri protecting Okabe from the car, or the same Okabe trying to die to change something in the timeline.

I was also at the point of crying at the "talk" of Mayuri to her grandma about Okabe's situation and her bad "dreams". With this I was reminded that the combination of Kana Hanazawa's voice with Mayuri's personality is a one-hit killer for me, a lot more of any other kind of drama we've had till now.
I also liked how Kurisu is facing the reality that she'll "die" (in quotes as I'm sure she will survive somehow to the end of the series) after the last timeline change. She has grown a lot from the start of this series as a character, and maybe she's the character with the most big growth out of the lab members. (she's the second in my characters ranking for this series after the invicible Mayuri)

But in the end nothing changes in this episode, other than reinforcing the will of Okabe to save Mayuri from this odious fate. I have a couple of ideas about how to save Kurisu as well, and all of them revolve around creating a full working time machine like Suzuha's one to let Okabe go back in time and save her from dying that day...(hopefully this time they'll have a machine that goes in both directions!)
This would connect perfectly well with Kurisu's words of "I saw you 15 minutes ago, you looked really fretted...". Maybe Okabe will tell her to feign death to escape SERN's clutches?!
Well, all of these are just pure speculations, but I'm sure they'll make all of our characters live on at the end of the series. I mean, they're making Okabe do all this great travels through time and battle against fate just to end up resigning right at the end?! I don't buy it, there has to be a "good" ending involving all of them living on...

Still three episodes to the end of this show, what other twist will this series have in store for us?! I'm looking forward to it!
See you soon,
