Hello everyone,
After much waiting (due to the festivities in Japan) I finally got my Subaru Nakajima action figure from Good Smile Company that is by the way the first action figure I ever got. I've never really had the will to try to pick one, but interested by the sales they were doing at HLJ this summer I decided to give this product a try!
On another note, I'll never use FedEx again for a shipment (it was my first try with them as well), because they use the same courier as EMS for local delivery in my country and because an error occurred during the calculation of the customs charge that costed me 7 eur more!

Let's start with some introduction, shall we? Subaru Nakajima is one of the new characters that are shown in the anime series Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS and is originally voiced by Chiwa Satou, the same seiyuu that voiced Homura Akemi!
Subaru's backstory is by far the most sad of the young Strikers team. She started dreaming to be a Mahou Shoujo after watching Nanoha save her from a really pinch situation (caught into a fire and with a gigantic statue falling over her) and after a lot of years she finally manages to enter the TSAB Ground Armed Forces together with her friend Teana Lanster...

..., but only at the end of the series, we know that she is really a cyborg (part of her body are made of cybernetic parts like her arm) and that she is a clone of her "mother" created by a unnamed factory similiar to the one managed by the enemy of the series Jail Scaglietti.
Her personality is cheerful and energetic that are the two traits I most love in a character as you may already know. She is fairly afraid of being hurt or hurting others with her powers and this was one of the main things keeping her from becoming a Mahou Shoujo before meeting with Nanoha. She is quite close with Teana Lanster and is willing to do anything to protect her from harm!

The figure by itself is very well made with a lot of details and pretty similiar to her appearance in the anime series. Her face is quite good compared to other figures I watched on the net (some were horribly wrong really...) and they even included a second mach caliber to be able to emulate her final formation shown at the end of the anime!
If we look at her from the size aspect she is a lot bigger than I expected. It stands 18 cm tall and will actually occupy more (20-21 cm) if you use a flying attack pose. The joints are very well hidden and it doesn't look like an old style doll while being obviously inferior in overall quality to a fixed-pose figure.

The whole first experience with an action figure was very interesting, even if I had to try for a good hour and half before managing to learn how to pose her correctly. Sorry for the photos with this bad pose, but it was the best I managed to get in the first 30 minutes when I made and uploaded these photos. :P)
The next step will be testing all of the additional items/faces in the package that are really a lot, starting from the wings on her boots! Maybe I'll remove those rollerblades for her normal shoes...

But well, that's all for this Subaru centric post! I plan to pick up some other figure in the future (have already it in preorder), but for the details you'll have to wait a bit!
See you soon,
