Hello everyone,
Here we are after the week break to talk of the sixth episode of the anime series Mawaru Penguindrum, a series that is the main talk of the blogosphere in these weeks. (not that there is much competition judging from the many mediocre series of this season)
This sixth episode was a build-up episode revolving around Ringo's character and personality with some particular new information on the mysterious penguin organization that lurks in the shadows.

We finally are nearing the end of Ringo's arc and everything seems to be implying that she won't win the heart of his beloved, but will end up becoming Shoma's girl...
...this is especially true if you think that they also finally explained the reason driving Ringo to do all this stuff. She doesn't really love the teacher, she is just trying to make the happenings written in her sister's diary become true in order to regain the peaceful family she used to have before Momoka's (her sister) death.
I understand Ringo's feelings, but she's going that little too far to get her wishes answered. Judging from the preview it seems she will need to pay a very high price to gain her wish through these means and that this may be something she would regret...

On Kanba's side we get a lot of progress, he finally get notice of the "ball-launcher" girl shown in the previous episode that is deleting the memories from all the girls around him, probably in order to silence them.
This girl looks and act like a real enemy of Mawaru Penguindrum especially if you think that she has uncertain motives, a deadly weapon capable of deleting all the memories with just one hit and the will to use it against anyone.
To add on the top of this deadly mix, she has a penguin as well exactly like Kanba, Shoma and Himari (actually it looks a lot cooler...). If we suppose that our penguin god is not the mastermind behind her as well, I wonder how many penguins are outside there and who is exactly "creating" them...

I'm also rather interested in the real meaning of the penguin? Is it something like the soul of his owner? Because I can see that all the penguins behave exactly like their own master... (Kanba's one is the most funny of the bunch)
This show, at the moment, is very promising and the only downside I can see in these first six episode of Mawaru Penguindrum is the utter lack of Himari in her human form, she is slowly becoming more of a plot-device than the heroine of this series. I wonder if they just decided to explore her story more in detail in a future arc...

...anyway here we are after another episode of Mawaru Penguindrum with more questions and less answers, but well there's still a lot of time for them to explain. Let's hope!
See you soon,
