Hello everyone,
In this week of various delay of many famous series (I'm eagerly waiting the next episode of Mawaru Penguindrum), here we are to talk again about Kami-sama Dolls, an anime series that managed, with this seventh episode, to change completely the outlook of the story by introducing a rather sad and violent backstory around the characters of Aki and Kyohei without forgetting a bit of gore on the top.
Yes, because in this seventh episode we finally get to know the reasons of Aki's imprisonment and the reason of the hate between the two brothers.
Yes, everything revolve around the teacher that turned out to be a rather minimal and loathful character and not the mother of Hibino like I thought last week.

The episode manages to show us a very different Aki, the Aki before gaining for the second time the rights to be a Seki. He was a rather black guy (at least from the way he treated everyone else), but still just a normal child in the growing up days who ended up being the love target of the cougar hunter-teacher. (that by the way was really far away from being a cutie like Meme from Denpa Onna)
That teacher was the personification of the evil, she had to run away from the previous school due to a murder caused by her personality...and what she does in the new school? That's OBVIOUS! Sleep with the first student she found!!!
Honestly speaking, I was cheering for her to die together with the other useless Seki and thanks god Aki answered my prayers with some wonderful hack-and-slash scene that looked reminiscent of what you can do in the game Diablo.

Between the other revelations of this episodes we have that the Kakashi emits a different song depending on the user (we had two example in Kukuri and in Aki's Kakashi) and we now are pretty sure that another Seki can interfere with the manipulation of the Kakashi.
This would also explain the Deus Ex Kukuri of the previous episodes (the scene where Kukuri absorb and send back to Kirio the energy beam), as the song was exactly the same as the one created from Kyohei's usage. (thus there is hope that Kukuri will have a decent Seki sooner or later)
The only negative note of this episode is the utter lack of Utau and Hibino leaving us with nearly zero fanservice/comedy scenes. From next episode the series will go back to the main story, there are still many questions open in the plot. I'm rather curious to see if Aki and Kyohei will ever collaborate to some common endeavour...

This series is proving pretty solid in its storytelling and I'm rather curious about what they'll be able to pull out in these few remaining episodes...
See you soon,
