Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk again about Kami-sama no Memo Chou, a summer season anime series that is slowly improving the quality of the storyline in the last two episodes, but it is still somewhat far from the first episode quality.
This new arc talks about the past of the leader of the NEET Yakuza (oh, dear why they continue to focus on this damn NEET concept?!) and his "best friend" of the past Renji Hirasaka.
These two guys (both "friend" of Narumi in one way or another) end up in a gang fight over some past hate born from the relationship with a girl that is still not really well described in these two episodes. We just know that she's dead and Yondaime blames Renji for something related to this...

If you are able to forgive them for the whole criminal neet organization they work for (I mean, how can you encourage a bunch of low level criminals with a so lame name? It's pretty much the same hate I felt for the organization shown in Kurenai of "dispute mediator"), the storyline is quite interesting especially in the bits showing the distress of Narumi being put in the middle of two friends knowing that following one would mean angering the other.
While I appreciated the courage shown by Narumi in facing Renji alone at the end of the sixth episode to try to put an end to the fights, I can't condone how he put Ayaka in danger by deciding to avoid the escort... What would have happened if Tetsu wasn't there to drive off that dozen of guys alone?!
Next episode this arc will probably end, focusing on resolving the rivalry between the two factions and especially the two leaders. I'm still not sure about what will be the ending as I can't really see Yondaime making peace with Renji whatever reason Narumi is able to extract...

On an unrelated note, in these two episodes we got a sensational quantity of Alice's blushing scenes due to Narumi's actions that marks the start of her official dere phase. I like how they show us her in a cute way without going too much into fanservice area. She's likely the only reason most of us are still here watching this after all, isn't it? :)
It's 1 month and half from the start of this series and we still haven't touched (or introduced) the main plot that at this point looks so far away...from the info I got it seems to be closely related to Ayaka as well. I wonder how well they'll be able to mash up that innocent girl that Ayaka is in the chaos that will be generated...

Still one week for the conclusion of this arc and for more Alice goodness. Are you ready for the wait?!
See you soon,
