Hello everyone,
After a single week skip to let the story process a bit, here I am talking again about Steins Gate, a series that is continuing to deliver great quality episodes slowly taking us to the final timeline in which Mayuri will be finally saved and live happy with Okarin! (or well that's my hope)
First of all let's make clear that the highlight of these two episodes was clearly in the single affirmation by Makise during Ruka's arc that made Daru and Okarin make a strange face.
I wonder how she's able to spout phrases like "I'm virgin" in the presence of two guys like Daru and Okarin that are sure to make fun of her soon later. Maybe that's the charm of our Christina!? By the way, did anyone notice that she's becoming more and more dere with each d-mail sent/time leap done?!
For the rest we get two episodes of minor character development (we're still missing the third one I suppose) with the closure of the respective arc of Feyris NyanNyan and Rukako.
While the Ruka's plot was pretty much standard fare with Okarin promise of not forgetting her after jumping through another timeline, the Feyris arc was quite a bit more complex. Yes, because this time they had to sacrify a life to take us a little step near to saving Mayuri. While it was a necessary operation, I was a little sad of letting the Feyris dad die again without being able to do anything...
I suppose (don't know for sure as I still haven't managed to play this) those were route in the original game that depending on the choice to revert the d-mail or not made the story continue for the true route or not. (Pretty much like Aiyoku no Eustia)
I'm sure starting to hope they'll all be alive in the beta timeline together with a new Suzuha, less battle-hardened, but more girl...
At this point with six episodes remaining to the ending we still have one single d-mail to revert before Okabe Rintarou will be able fight against fate again. I'm interested in what will happen after they revert Moeka's d-mail as there is still the original mail to be rewritten. The one sent when he first saw Kurisu in a pool of blood at the start of this series.
Will they use the computer to manipulate CERN data and save Mayuri? Or will they just try to revert even the last email destroying all the relationships created between our characters till now?!
Another important thing (maybe you noticed it already) is that I rewatched the first episode today to confirm one thing, Kurisu says clearly in the first scene that Okabe was searching for her. Does that means that Makise Kurisu received a d-mail from him in that timeline?! Or that Rintarou Okabe has time travelled from a remote future to that era to do something?!
Well, hopefully in a couple weeks time we'll have answers to all these questions, and maybe get the good ending we're all waiting for. :)
That's all for this round! Next week we'll be admiring again out hot Moeka leather girl with maybe some information about who is FB and what was her D-mail. (she'll likely be the most difficult to capture back...)
