Hello everyone,
Here we are with another post over the third and fourth episode of our yuri comedy of this summer season 2011 named Yuruyuri. As I expected, this series is following till now an alternate episode approach in which one episode is dedicated to a more pure comedy (when the main cast is involved) and one episode is dedicated to jokes around the yuri factor of the other supporter cast.
I find myself liking more the first type over the second, but the whole show is really enjoyable by anyone even without any kind of knowledge regarding otaku culture.

The highlights of the third episode were mainly focused around building up a little more the backstories around our main cast and I found very interesting watching the relationship between Yui and Kyouko. They sure looks a great couple together, with Yui assuming sometimes the position of mother, sometimes as child depending on the situation.
In the fourth episode we change completely background, while keeping the slice-of-life approach to the storyline and we get ourselves to a great beach episode with plenty of fanservices and delusion scenes. While I liked the great appearance of Kyouko, I would have prefered her into a sukumizu like the others. (Probably they choose to leave the oldest out to have something more colorful to show)

Talking about the comedy department, I have to say that I am a little turned off by the continue use of the same gag multiple time in the same episode. (The delusion gag between Kyouko and the vice-president to be precise) While at the start it looks fun, being repeated with little variation for lots of time makes the whole concept boring. Hopefully they'll inject some new type of jokes in the future episodes.
Sound quality (in terms of Seiyuu) was excellent in these four episodes. I'm loving all of the voices of the main/supporting cast except maybe Chinatsu's voice, but well maybe I'm a little biased on this as I hate her character completely!
The graphical quality is keeping a very high level and I'm really curious about how our heroines will appear in the blu-ray edition. (I'm in love with these simple, but extremely cute designs!)

What now? In the next episode it seems we'll continue to explore the complicated relationship between the vice-president of the student council and Kyouko. (The ingenuity of Kyouko is the key for that relationship to continue in this way...
)
We'll also get a new character in the already big Yuruyuri cast. Will she be enough interesting to steal our eyes from the incredible Kyouko?! We'll see soon enough!
See you soon,
