Hello everyone,
Tonight we'll talk again about the second season of the comedy anime series Baka To Test To Shoukanjuu (precisely about the second and third episode) that is currently on air in this summer season 2011.
This new adaptation/season seems to be shifting out of the battle environment that characterized most of the first season (with multiple class level fighting) to go back to a more pure comedy revolving around our characters that is, by the way, the thing I most loved of the first season and what I was expecting from this new adaptation.

In these three episodes we had no sign of real plot, just a lot of comedy and mindless fun. While the second episode was just a completion of the first episode story (with the incredible miss contest in which Akihisa and the other males were forced to partecipate) it turned out as a very funny episode with great moments, especially when Shouko was the lead.
Great note should be given to the third episode that divided into two parts give us some character build-up that we were waiting from quite a lot of time.
In the first part we get to know more about the real personality of Yuuko Kinoshita (the sister of Hideyoshi) that turns out to be a quite amiable fellow with a very laid-back personality while at home. (very violent as well resembling a lot Minami in this regard)

In the second part we get a flashback of the times before the first season with the first encounter between Hazuki (Minami's sister) and Akihisa with the happening that marked the start of their friendship. Akihisa is shown as a very good guy going as far as fighting against Tetsujin to be able to keep the little girl happy and by consequence (without him really knowing) even Minami!
Another great happening of this last episode was the "coming back" of the mythical FFF Inquisition that continue to proves itself as a great way to create comical relief. I loved all the faces done by Yuuko when watching them torture various guys...
On another note, I also started to read the manga of this series and till now is following closely the first anime season with a rather different graphical style and minor changes in the storyline due to the different medium.

This series is continuing to prove itself as a great and solid comedy series. If you're still on the fence, give it a look!
See you soon,

P.S. The FFF Inquisition is always watching you! Remember about it!
