Hello everyone,
Let's go with another rambling on Kami-sama no Memo Chou that we talked already some weeks ago when the first episode (1 hour long) aired that really got us unprepared with nice pacing, decent storyline and impressive main characters. (Both our male protagonist and Alice)
Today I watched the second episode and I can confirm that the general outlook of the series is positive in the long term, the stories are interesting and all of them talk about the dark part of the modern world we live in.

I can't say more appropriate words than what the leader of the Yakuza said to be honest. This is not a place for a child's play, but this is the premise of the story so we'll have to bear with it. I'm especially curious about how is going to resolve this issue and save the girl from dying due to the Yakuza presence and her knowledge of the money "stolen" by her father.
Meo's personality is very pure and I would be heart-broken if she'll get a bad end. (by the way everything with her surviving is a happy end for me in this situation)
The second story will likely conclude next week giving us two arcs into 4 episodes, but I'm pretty sure there will be bigger arcs in the future. I've read something aboug a drugs arc lasting a lot more on some japanese blogs regarding the light novel material.

Talking about the storyline, another thing I'd want them to explore in this series is Alice's past. Is Alice her real name? Where are her parents? Why she is not going to any school? How can she support herself financially? How old is she?
There are plenty of questions to ask, but till now we know so little about this cute detective girl and strangely nobody seems to care ask her.
The only bad thing about this series is how they enforce and repeat the NEET concept like it was some kind of prestigious title. What is going to come next? "The Hikikomori iceman"?!

Nevertheless, this series is proving quite solid, and while I'm still not completely sold to the concept, as we haven't really grazed the real plot of this story, I'll continue to watch this. Hopefully next arc will give us more light on our characters.
See you soon,
