Hello everyone,
Here we are for another rambling about one of the most unexpected successfull series of this summer season 2011 named Idolmaster.
After two episodes I can freely say that I'm genuinely impressed! I know that many of us started with great prejudice on this due to the bad experience with IdolMaster Xenoglossia and with the original material from which this series is adapted...

...but the style of the direction (that is slowly making us adapt to having many characters) and the characters incredible personality (hell, even my most hated character from Xenoglossia Haruka Amami is very up in the rankings in this one) are slowly making me like this series for real.
The second episode has revolved around explaining the reasons why these girls aren't making much success (those photos were absolutely no good! Monkey twins?!) and our producer is making moves to make them improve their image to get some positive audition.
In the meantime we get plenty of shots of life of our girls making us know more about their personality and their reasons to work as idols in that studio!

One of the highlight of the episode is around the four smallest girls of the team banding together with strange thoughts about what to wear during the auditions. Yayoi as a steak scene was really funny to watch, but the final make-up scene was literally HILARIOUS!
Ami and Mami Futami are also pretty nice as characters with their synchronized speaking and rather mature thoughts compared to the ingenue and pure Yayoi! (combine the two with Yayoi and you'll get plenty of funny/cute scenes to watch)

If I have to say one thing that surely got me hooked on the monitor is the Yayoi cute appearance and recurring joke about being poor! Oh, I don't know why, but I love cute, hardworking poor girl characters and Yayoi is for sure one of them. (She even get more points if you think that I loved her in Xenoglossia as well)
I had to make a screenshot of the bad photo toward half of the episode because she was too cute to be true. It seems that I found my new Ryuuko to idolize this season as well.
Next episode looks like will continue with the characters introduction (as today we only got time to know 4 girls over the full team), trend that will likely continue for another two-three episodes till the full cast is finally properly introduced!

This has for sure guaranteed a place in my blog schedule (anyway probably not every week) and I really hope they'll manage to keep up the good work.
See you soon,
