Hello everyone,
Let's continue the summer first impressions with another title suggested by OverlordG named Nekogami Yaoyorozu that really got off my radar despite the potential. (I'm still missing to blog about Sacred Seven and Dantalian no Shoka and we should have completed most of the series I'll be following this season)
The series focuses on a world where gods are not a invisible force, but are really involved with human beings. A girl cat god (oh, sounds so generic said this way) named Mayu get expelled from the world of the gods due to abuse of her powers and end up in the human world as punishment.

This first episode of the series does a really good job showing us all the main characters of the story even if without touching really the real plot of the anime that is the backstory behind Yuzu and Mayu's encounter and what will be of the Mayu's penalty. The comedy is rather light and never really goes over a chuckle or two, but is nevertheless a nice way to spend some time if you're free or bored.
The characters are many, but well defined and definitely likable. I'm loving Shamo, the "enemy" of the first episode that turns out will be one of the main cast of the story. Her incredibly cuteness combined with her powers make her a top choice!
Also very funny the two girl, self defined "wifes" of Mayu (that by the way is also a female) that with both beauty and catfights keep the series a down-the-earth slapstick one...

I'm not very fond of the graphical style used in this series (prefer the original work one by great lengths), but the studio AIC Plus+ is doing a good job till now animating this series and I hope they'll be able to keep up the consistency in the whole series as this is a rather new studio.
They've also given great care to the seiyuu department in this show sporting some of the most famous seiyuu of this age with names like Haruka Tomatsu in Mayu's role, Yui Horie in Yuzu's role, Aki Toyosaki in Shamo's role, Rie Tanaka in Amaterasu's role, etc...

Concluding, this will likely be a funny, relaxing, but forgettable series. I suggest to take this one if you are searching for some comedy series just to cheer yourself up.
I'm not going to blog this regularly, but you may expect another post in the future over it.
See you soon,
