Hello everyone,
After a lot of time I finally managed to watch the first episode of the fanservice/comedy series Mayo Chiki, an anime of this summer season 2011. (The wallpapers of today are made by me as there is little material of Mayo Chiki available so bear with me if they're not the best. :P)
I can easily say that this has keeped its promises and delivered great fanservice and nice comedy revolving a concept very commonly used in other series as well that is the secret sharing between a male and a female.

This first episode covers the characters introductions (even if some of them are very fast like with Narumi Nakuru or the sister of the protagonist) and provide the series main plot line with our male lead (quite a decent man this time around) ending up discovering Subaru true identity as a female while in a bathroom.
The whole concept of our male lead being "allergic" to females and the way they animated it remind me a lot of the condition of the MM! male lead, and I think its a nice concept to build a series around. Especially if you're going to prepare a fanservice series with comedy. (And sure Subaru is a great girl to make fanservice...)

No, there is no much to expect from this on the story side, so if you are searching for a good story this is not your best pick. This will only deliver (and I'm pretty sure of it) fanservice with a barely linked plot that will escalate 2-3 episodes near the end to provide a common undecided ending like most of the series of this genre.
Fortunately, the characters are very interesting and are able to capture the heart of the viewer. At the moment my best pick is Subaru even if I'm waiting for Usami's appearance that will likely steal the top to our butler. (I hate the S ojou-san. I really can't stand that kind of character...)

As you can see from these wallpapers, the original light novel style is quite different (as I told in the other post) from the anime one and a lot similiar to the Baldr series of Visual Novel (done by the same artist). Even if I would have liked the anime to follow the same style, I can't really complain with Feel this time around as they are doing a nice job animating this series. (at least looking from the first episode)
The seiyuu working on this project are doing a great job till now. I'm especially liking Satoshi Irino's role as Kinjirou Sakamachi and Kana Hanazawa's role as Kureha Sakamachi. Not much to say about OP and ED songs as I don't know them very well, but for sure they're not as catchy as others of this season.
That's all for this round of Mayo Chiki, but we'll probably talk again about it in the future as soon as the plot start to develop a little.
See you soon,
