Hello everyone,
Here we are for another post over Steins Gate, this time covering the 14th episode that finally reveal the real identity behind the codename of John Titor and gives more light to what are the rules behind the time travel phenomenon that is happening in this anime world.
Let's start by saying that I finally can empathize a lot with Okabe Rintarou, his mental breakdown when talking with Chris and the many rollback travel with the time leap to save Mayuri from death are really noble and shows how much he care about her. (And I'm in pain with him every time I see Mayuri dying)

After he finally decide to talk with our lovely Christina, they finally manage to get more information by performing a 5 hour time leap and talking with Suzuha (even if to be honest is Suzuha to talk with them) to finally discover what is the way to save Mayuri from certain death.
Oh, by the way. I loved Chris in this episode, both for her trying to imitate Okabe's mad scientist talk in a way to cheer him up and for the various cute blushes when around Okabe. (Even if I strongly believe he will end up with no girl by the end of the series)

Going back to the main talk, Suzuha is finally revealed as the real time traveler named "John Titor" and that the satellite shown crashing on the palace is actually a time machine she used to come back in time. Another thing very important also revealed is that Okabe Rintarou is the one to actually send her back in time to try to find a way to save the world from the SERN oppression in the future.
Who is really Suzuha in her timeline? I'm guessing she is the child of some of the lab members, but I'm not really going to make any guess as its too vague at the moment.

My impression over this episode is overally good and confirm my strong believe that this series is going up to become one of the best series of the last couple of years. (A lot more of the Chaos;Head fail adaptation that we all know very well about)
I am also of the idea that there will NOT be a definitive happy ending for this series, but some kind of bittersweet ending...
No, I'm not talking about Mayuri's death as I'm pretty sure she'll be back and kicking for the second half of the season with her "tuturu~", but of a more "soft" bad end. Don't have a real prediction as this is after all just my feeling.

We're still a week's away from the next episode and I'm already missing my characters...let's hope this new summer season will be able to keep up entertained while we wait for our next dose of Steins;Gate.
See you soon,
