Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about another preview of an autumn 2011 anime (likely as date as they said "2011", but not confirmed) adapted from a visual novel named "Mashiro Iro Symphony" from the company Palette that I liked and played a long time ago (two years ago in the 2009).

Let's start with a synopsis :
Shingo's school is decided to be joined with a girls' school. As a selected student, Shingo temporarily transfers to the girls' school until they officially consolidate the change. He meets various unique girls there, but most girls somehow dislike male students. To remove their misunderstanding, Shingo works hard and...
Ok, the premise is the most common one of a visual novel and the adapted harem anime. A bunch of girls around a single male that somehow attract them like honey to bees.
The stories in this visual novels are all very simple, but nicely done revolving around the life of these five girls and their past. The story most touched me is the Sena one (the tsundere of the series) with her strong independence mask she wears everyday when going to school.

You can probably see in this series a lot of parallels with Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi, but let me say it to you as I played both of them. This time all the routes are generally interesting and with that little bit of drama to make you emotionally attached to the characters that are by the way very likable. (even if I can't stand Myu as she's in my category of hated characters)
So, if the story is generally good, why I said in the title "delusion"? Well, as you know, I have an incredibly high luck as far as adaptations goes (see Hoshikaka) so I'm expecting this series to follow one of the two most hated routes (Myu or Angelina) and ignore the better ones (Sena and Sakuno).

Even if in the bottom of the heart I still hope they'll adapt a Sana ending. That poor girl (the red hair one at the start and end of this post) has been completely forgotten in the main game even if she was the best of the five. I heard of a new route for her or something in the PSP game, but haven't checked to be honest.
I wonder if they'll keep the super deformed CGs I loved of the game in some particular anime scene like they've done with Hoshikaka... (That sure was a very positive thing of the Hoshikaka adaptation that I rarely see in today's anime)

From the information present at the moment we know that the animation production is given to Manglobe, a studio that worked on many high quality series like Ergo Proxy, Samurai Champloo, etc... so there is enough hope for a nice graphical style. Obviously nobody is expecting the quality of the game CGs that are even now one of the best example of art as far as visual novels goes.
The seiyuu that will work on this series are rather unknown to many except for Mai Goto in Sakuno's role (famous for many recent series like the "ef - a tale of" adaptations), but I'm rather interested in watching how the final work will be.

Well, let's wait for more information about the air date of this new series, in the meantime I'll likely give a second look at Sena's route hoping she'll be the one being adapted.
See you soon,
