Hello everyone,
Today we'll cover a preview of a future anime series that finally got a release date for the first episode of a series.
I'm talking about Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai that is an very successfull light novel series that will get an OAD adaptation with the first episode slated for the 22 of september together with the release of the 7th volume of the light novel series.

How to define this series? Let's take a look at the synopsis :
Hasegawa Kodaka has transferred schools recently, and he’s having a hard time making friends in the new environment. One day, he runs into his bad-tempered solitary classmate Yozora while she’s talking to her imaginary friend Tomo. Realizing that neither of them have any actual friends, they decide that the best way to alter this situation is to form a club and start recruiting. That is how “Rinjinbu” was formed, a club specifically designed for people who don’t have very many friends.
The premise looks and acts like the common comedy/harem series with a single guy that end up in a club filled with pretty girls with the excuse that all of them "don't have friends".
Credible storyline? Not really! But the situations that you can create with such a big and cute cast are enough to make me think that this series can get the spotlight just like Denpa Onna got the spotlight for the same identical reasons.

The original graphical style remind me a lot of Denpa Onna and after a quick search I notice that both series are illustrated by the same guy "Buriki" that is a genius in my books as for girls style. Right after knowing this I run to ANN to see what studio is going to animate this hoping for another Shaft production, but...what I see is AIC Build and the depression start running wild.
Let's be honest, AIC isn't known for its quality work and I'm scared that they'll manage to waste up this great original work as well. Let's hope its just some baseless worry...

As for the seiyuu department we see a rather dedicated and famous group of great artists as we have Kana Hanazawa in the Kobato Hasegawa's role, Marina Inoue in Yozora Mikazuki's role, Kanae Itou in Sena Kashiawazaki's role and many other big names of the scene.
Another great thing of this adaptation is that the director seems to be the same that directed Bamboo Blade (Another AIC work which I loved)/Sora no Otoshimono OAV. Let's hope he'll keep up the good work this time as well.

Let's hope to have a great time with this series as well, I'm expecting a lot from this one! (Planning to start reading the manga as well right from the next manga shipment)
See you soon,
