Hello everyone,
Today after a big wait I managed to watch the fifth (sixth if you count the episode 0) episode of the OVA series of KissXSis which we blogged in the past together with the tamer TV series that is a series that likely need no introduction for anyone of you.
The first thing that appeared in my mind during the episode was about how terribly different is the fanservice content between the TV series and OVA! The TV series while entirely based over fanservice, it was actually a mild version resolving to plot devices like "dream", "imaginations" more than once to keep it "broadcast safe".
This episode of the OVA managed to reach levels that maked me think for a second to have inserted the wrong dvd in the player. The fanservice was heavy and explicit for most of the series and to be honest somehow disturbing near to the end of the episode.
The sisters personality is leaved almost intact between the two adaptations (Riko is as lovely as always if you were about to ask about it), but the protagonist change slightly acting more like a erogè protagonist than a normal tv anime one.
You know how the protagonist in the 99% of the erogè change his personality while during a scene? That's the same feeling I got with this episode and the OVA series till this point.
Another interesting thing to think about is the almost total absence of any other character other than Riko, Ako and the protagonist.
While the three are able to create funny situations very easily, somehow you'll feel that the series is lacking in content. (I especially liked many of the other characters that got screen-time in the TV series like Mikazuki, Miharu, etc...)
Well, it seems that the OVA adaptation is still not complete (and the original manga is still running with plenty of new material) so what we have to do is just wait a little more to get other time with our lovely Riko and Ako!
