Hello everyone,
It seems that the news was true and after a couple of counter-checks here we are to talk about the announced new OVA project of Infinite Stratos, announced on the official twitter account of the series, that will ship the November 25 2011.
As you may know this is one of the series I most blogged of the past season so I'm quite interested in having more of it.
If you read my old post you'll notice that we were speculating when and if Infinite Stratos would get a second season if the sales were good enough, well it seems that they are still scouting the fanbase to see if it will be worthy to do with this OVA.
The OVA is called "IS Encore: Koi ni Kogareru Rokujuusou" that translates into "A Sextet Yearning for Love", and as the title says quite clearly will be revolving almost entirely the part of the series that most of us appreciated. No, I'm not talking about the plot, but about the fanservice of the many girls present in the Infinite Stratos world.
The old cast is maintained without any changes so that we'll be able to relive our memories through the voices of Youko Hikasa, Yukana, Asami Shimoda, Kana Hanazawa and Marina Inoue.
There isn't much detail given at the moment regarding the storyline and the positioning in the Infinite Stratos storyline of this OVA, but it will likely be positioned right after the events of the first season making a possible (just my speculation) bridge to a full fledged second series.
If you remember with the ending of last season we got quite many questions in our mind like "what is Tabane implication in this incident and in Ichika powers?" and "What is the real reason IS can't be piloted by males in normal conditions?" so while this OVA won't cover much story I do hope they'll sell well enough to warrant a new season containing answers to our pressing questions.
Hell, we may be even able to see which of the five girls end up winning Ichika's heart! 
Let's start the bets around which of the five girls will get the spotlight of the community (the most important role like it happened for Charlotte in the tv adaptation) in this OVA. I vote for the loli Laura Bodewig!
