Hello everyone,
Here we start again with another series that I completed only days ago due to low interest (I completed it more as an obligation to be honest) named Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne.
Yes, I think too that a shorten name would have been a little better...

Let's start with a synopsis :
Junior High student Nao's brother complex is so strong, it's almost at the point of incest. She's determined to make her brother, High School student Shuusuke, see her as a woman. So determined, that she goes as far as going into his room to throw away all his non-incest related porn. But as she's looking for his porno stash, she finds a photo album... and she's not in any of his childhood pictures.
Oh, the story from this point of view looks really fresh and original...unfortunately everything is screwed up in the real adaptation that will range between various fetish trying to appease the viewer with constant clichè and fanservice (that got even heavily censored in the TV broadcast making it even less enjoyable)

The story is mostly non-existant and follows the various comedic scenes between the three girls and the protagonist, and while there are quite some funny scenes (loved the date episode with Iroha while stalked by Nao) there is almost nothing original in it.
I don't know how the original work (a manga still running with four volumes available), but I do expect more closure as the anime was quite lacking in this regard...

The characters are mostly likable except maybe (for me at least) Nao's personality that somehow looked too "Haruhi Suzumiya" in my eyes thanks to her extreme will to be the center of the attention. (I hate this kind of character so bear with me for this personal expression
)
My favourite character is the manipulative yet lovable Iroha Tsuchiura with her constant teasing of Shuusuke. (she's also the beautiful of the bunch in my honest opinion)

The graphical style is quite original and to be honest I quite liked it. It was refreshing as I was just out of Infinite Stratos "perfect body" syndrome and these girls looked a little less "unnatural" maybe?!
The animation was mostly ok with some minor flaw in some episodes (probably fixed in the dvd release) while the censuring was downright horrible.
The sound quality was top notch and I liked most of the voices in the series, especially Marina Inoue's (everyone knows her) role as Iroha Tsuchiura and Kazusa Aranami's (a new seiyuu with this as first leading role) role as Mayura Kondou.

What to add? Well, this series has not been what I was expecting for, but nevertheless was a decent plain fanservice series that will probably get you more than a funny moment.
Give it a look if you get extra time (the DVD release should also remove all the censoring as well)...
See you soon,
