Hello everyone,
Let's go ahead with yet another review of an old series (this time 2008) that got quite some talking/bashing at the time named Kimi ga Aruji De Shitsuji ga ore de based on an original game by MinatoSoft (the same of Maji de Watashi ni Koishi Nasai! that I loved) and adapted by studio A.C.G.T. (you may remember them for the recent Freezing adaptation)

Let's start with a synopsis :
Due to family troubles, Ren Uesugi and his sister, Mihato, leave their home. They end up moving to the city, but find themselves with a lack of money. Somehow they are able to find work in the form of the Kuonji family's mansion, being employed as servants to the three sisters of the Kuonji family: Shinra, Miyu, and Yume. Being a servant also associates Ren with the mansion's additional servants and the Kuonji sisters' friends.
Oh, this series start up with a nice and already well developed concept that is the butler in a super rich family already explored in Hayate no Gotoku and many other game/manga, but somehow end up with a rather shallow content that is very difficult to relate to.

The story is...mostly cheesy in the content and really dragging with annoying characters (like the head-butler with his out-of-this-world remarks or Ageha with her continue bullying her own butler) and on the long run you'll end up very bored of its plot.
The best episode was likely the one revolving around Miyu (the blonde "loli") that is the only character together with Mihato that I can stand in this series...

Yes, the characters are many and some of them got more than enough focus to get to know them, but their story are so predictable and cheesy that you'll find yourself not caring about them at all. (Like Yume problems with her family and Shinra past...)
My favourite character is by far (like I've already told you) Miyu Kuonji, her personality is one of the most liked for me ("not honest with herself") and combined with cute body and nice seiyuu it get one of the top spots in my rankings.

The graphical quality of the series/girls is as you can see top notch, I liked the style used to draw the girls (Miyu is criminally cute). The animation unfortunately was inconsistent and with tons of problems not resolved even in the DVD release.
The sound quality is very good (why using high level seiyuu when you're not making a decent animation first?) with famous seiyuu like Shizuka Itou in Shinra Kuonji's role, Yuko Gotou in Miyu Kuonji's role, Rie Tanaka in Ageha Kuki's role and many others.

What more can I say? This series adaptation started with the bad feet (I read that the game is quite better in the story department so I may give it a look sooner or later) and is probably suggested only to those fan of the original series or with extra time to watch another generic comedy/drama series.
See you soon,
