Hello everyone,
Here we are this time to review a series I watched a lot of time ago, but I still remember clearly that is the original comedy/slice of life anime project named Gokujou Seitokai.

Let's start with a synopsis :
Rino Randou is a young girl with a head full of air and a talking puppet on her hand. She is accepted into the illustrious Gokujou all-girl's school, and is summarily, almost curiously, accepted as part of the even more illustrious Best Student Council, who has more power and business ventures than most large businesses. Now a part of the student council, she befriends the talented members of the Best Student Council, leaving one to wonder how a girl with seemingly no talents or redeeming qualities would get chosen for such a group.
Ok, first of all this series is all about the characters, there isn't a real plot following the whole series (if you don't count the backstory final arc around Rino)...

...but a sequence of random mindless story focusing one of the many members of the student council. (and they are really A LOT)
Each of the story are rather bland and a little cheesy sometimes, but anyway fun enough to give you enough reasons to go ahead in the anime progression. (loved the touching arc regarding the puppet and Rino's backstory)

The characters are many and mostly likable even if the great quantity of them will make it difficult to remember and sympatize with each one of them (Let's be honest, I just remember 5-6 girls of the whole cast)
There is some growth in the characters, especially around the complex Rino character that somehow becomes more "adult" at the end of the series due to the various happenings in the series.

My favourite character is by far the jealous Kaori Izumi, mostly because everytime she is involved things get really funny! (but well, she's also very cute when she is around Kanade Jinguji)
Nice second for Rino Rando with her pure and naive personality that somehow makes you want to protect her from everything and everyone!

The graphical quality is very good for the time (2005) and I quite liked the design of the girls. The animation is also decent with no major screw up (at least in the dvd version)
The sound quality is also great with many famous seiyuu working on this series. I especially liked Chiwa Saitou role as Kaori Izumi, Ayako Kawasumi role as Sayuri Hida and Kana Ueda role as Kotoha Kutsugi!

Concluding, This is a series is suggested to anyone looking for a fun/no brainer story around some rather special girls.
This is also a very nice series to let someone start in the anime world due to fun concepts, easy conversionations and almost unexistant fanservice!
See you soon,
