The new episode of Hanasaku Iroha had a so bad turnout (it's just not at the same level of the other arc, not that it is really bad) that needed a post just to talk about it so here we are!
Yes, because while the production quality was excellent in both the graphics and seiyuu this episode too (I'm especially liking Ohana seiyuu) the fourth episode played too much with stereotypes like the classic "boys going crazy over the school idol", predictable scenes and development and ended up making the series look like a B-grade school romance/comedy with no redeeming point whatsoever somehow hiding the great story that was unfolding till the previous episode.
But don't misunderstand, I did enjoyed this episode as well, especially the part where Yuina start talking Kansai dialect (I love that accent they give to words) even thought in the end looks like it was just an act...
It's just that it was not within my range of expectation on how the series would have progressed, as I was expecting something more epic from this story....
Well, what we can do is just hope for a nice comeback next episode. They better not waste this great premise with filler episodes...
