Hello everyone,
Here I am writing a new rambling about an on-air series that can probably become the most liked series of this season (Shaft you're too evil with your productions) that is Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko, based on an original light novel by Hitoma Iruma.

Let's start with a synopsis :
The story revolves around a highschool boy named Niwa Makoto. He lives with his aunt’s family since his parents are away on business. It is there where he meets his mysterious cousin of the same age Touwa Erio — who happens to tie a futon mattress around her upper body and is a self-proclaimed alien. Her staple food is pizza. Erio had been missing for half a year and was found floating in the sea. She doesn't remember anything about what happened during that period of time, but she began to think that it was the act of an alien and wanders the neighbourhood wrapped in the futon.
The story from the simple synopsis looks reminiscent of Haruhi, but to be honest after watching two episodes I notice the great differences between the two.

The figure of Erio is pretty much very well defined in the girl that received a trauma and started believing into aliens and such things, Haruhi was just bitchy and self-centered.
The figure of Makoto instead is pretty much the same as Kyon, but with a more lenient and young personality (Kyon behaved too much like it was forced, Makoto instead get involved by himself with his own will.)

The story by itself is pretty original and the various happenings very well defined, for example I especially liked the scene when you first see Erio in face under the moonlight and the pizza eating in the futon.
The laugh moments are many and the series have a nice slow pace that allows you to start knowing and remembering the characters right from the start.

THe character are very few, but like I just said very well defined with that particular touch that makes you easy to remember each one of them. (I already memorized all of them and that's strange for me)
This looks like a series that will give the characters some level of growth, but we'll see as the episodes progresses as I just watched the first two.

My favourite character right now is obviously Ryouko Mifune, she's too cute and energetic to get forgotten, I hope she'll have a major role in the story.
Second place for the heroine Erio Touwa that while CRIMINALLY cute (and I seriously mean it), she still lack a proper story development that probably will come in the future episodes.
The graphical quality of this series is top notch. Each and every girl are designed in an wonderful way and all of them are incredibly beautiful. I also liked the Shaft special effects they used like always in OP, ED and during the real episode.
The sound quality is very good, I especially liked the Erio denpa voice portrayed by Asuka Oogame and I hope this seiyuu get more roles like this as the voice is very fitting. (more than the Lizleat role she got in Omamori Himari to be honest)
Extremely liked also the opening song "Os-Uchuujin" by Erio (rewinded and watched it nine times already) and I'm waiting for the single release.

Concluding, this series merges both great characters to a rather original story and is worth watching if you're looking for a comedy series with (most likely) some drama added to the top of it.
See you soon,
