Hello everyone,
Here we are for yet another rambling on a currently on-air series, one that particularly shocked me for the content that was just nothing I was expecting...
I'm talking about Ore-Tachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai, anime series adapted from the very famous erogè with the same name.

Let's start with a synopsis :
It's winter in the big city of Yanagihara, and young people will meet and fall in love. Takashi is a boy who plans to escape to another world, but is held back by thoughts of his younger sister Kobato and girlfriend Asuka. Shusuke is a poor part-timer who has to work with student-author Hiyoko in spite of their initial dislike for each other. The antisocial Hayato makes his living as a handyman until he is visited by a girl name Naru.
Ok, I knew about the story and thought it as a generic drama series with comedy segments here and there, much more like Shuffle (as after all they are from the same company and with a very similiar style)...

...but to be honest I was completely unprepared to the quantity of fanservice they managed to put into the first two episodes....I mean, I did not play the game, but never would I have imaged such a quantity of fanservice in such a short amount of time.
It was more like watching a lingerie show, more than an anime at some point.

The story by itself looks generic, but very good executed and We can certainly expect a twist or two knowing that this is based on the same company that produced (and milked to death) Shuffle.
The characters are at this point very foggy in my mind and I barely remember anyone, but hopefully I'll learn their name and remember their faces in another couple of episodes.

My favourite character to date is Naru Ohtori, probably because she's the most cute of the bunch and probably I'll change idea as the anime goes by. (it looks to me they'll pick up Asura route, but I hope they will pull out a twist like they've done in the Shuffle adaptation)

The graphical quality is pretty good, but to be honest I'm starting to get annoyed by the character design of this guy (all the faces are THE SAME with different colors) and hoping for a change. The animation is also very good till now.
The sound quality is decent at best with almost no famous seiyuu except maybe Yuko Goto in Naru Ohtori's role and Hiro Shimono in Takashi Haneda's role.

Nevertheless this may prove a strong series of this season and I'll be looking at this closely for more fanservice and hoping there won't be too much drama to turn me off later in the series.
See you soon,
