Hello everyone,
Here we are for some rambling about a new series currently airing on tv named Steins Gate based on a Xbox360/PC visual novel by Nitro+ that got quite some success. (but somehow thanks to my infinite backlog, I never happened to have time to play it)

Let's start with a synopsis :
Steins;Gate is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.
No, sorry it isn't a joke, that is the real story synopsis that while it is definitely original sounds a little stupid on the first look of it...

...after you'll understand that after all Nitro+ is able to write up interesting story and you'll stick with it for the whole duration of it. (Or well at least I am going to watch it fully!)
The plot is pretty much new to me and I am very eager to see how they'll end up resolving the problems they have with the SERN (hoping they're not going to adapt a pathetic ending like the Chaos;Head one)

I have just one problem with this series, THOSE EYES. They're sucking my soul, I just can't avoid to focus them and I end up losing most of the time of the episode without the necessary focus to fully understand the series.
While I know that it's a particular style and it needs some time to adapt, but...I just can't seem to be able to adapt to it.

The animation till now seems to be consistent, but the studio animating this series is WHITE FOX that does not have good old series (do you remember all the problems on the animation of Tears to Tiara?) so we can just hope they'll try to maintain a decent level during the series.
Great note should be given on the audio quality, while there are no big names working on this series (except Kana Hanazawa in Mayuri Shiina's role), I especially liked the Kurisu Makise voice by Asami Imai and hope for more works by her in the future.

I suggest this series to everyone looking for some mistery/action series especially as this is a series by Nitro+, one of the best in this regard (I loved both Full Metal Daemon Muramasa and Demonbane)
See you soon,
