Hello everyone,
Before starting with a new rambling, let's talk about the new updates to the website that I've worked on all this morning. I created a new screenshot capturing/viewing facility that I'll use while playing erogè taking up screenshots of various scenes (in an automatic way or I'll get old doing it manually) I like adding some particular comment over it, let's think about it like some way of micro-blogging while I play.
To allow me to focus on blogging the erogè too in this micro-way (which I honestly avoided till now except for two full reviews) I'll be reducing the posts on the main blog to 1 post per day instead of the two I prepared till now.
Hope you'll enjoy the new features as well as the old one, but that's all for this tech talk, let's go back to the rambling of today.
Today we'll talk about an on-air anime series named "Hanasaku Iroha" that is getting quite some positive feedback by the blogosphere and that I started watching today.

Let's start with a quick synopsis :
When her mother runs off with her latest boyfriend, Ohana Matsumae is sent to live with her grandmother, who she has never met nor spoken to. Her grandmother is not pleased to find Ohana on her doorstep, and sets her to work at her Taisho-era (1920s) hot springs inn. It's not a lifestyle that Ohana would have chosen, but she decides not to be discouraged and to make the most of her difficult circumstances.
Ok, let's start with a quick rage above the mother of this girl. How can you run away from your home and leave your children unattended or send them to your own mother while you run off with your boyfriend?!

The premise is quite sad to be honest (and a bit unrealistic), but the series start off like a good drama/comedy series that makes up for the lack of solid plot with some nice slice of life scenes and funny moments.
The personality of Ohana is what emerges from this, a girl with great willpower, cheerful and with a great sad past of a childhood lived with that kind of parents...

The characters are few, some of them are lovable (like Ohana), some of them are hateful (like the grandmother), but generally there is a feeling of "real world" around each one of the characters.
It's too early to talk about growth, but the series is starting very good with a lot of backstory building so we can hope for some good developments in their personalities.

The graphical quality of this series is wonderful, the girls style are great and the overall quality top notch (really this may be the best TV anime graphical wise of the last years). The animation is also pretty good even thought it's still a little early to talk about consistency.
The sound quality is, till now, pretty good and there are quite some nice seiyuu working on thsi project like Haruka Tomatsu in Yuina Wakura's role and Aki Toyosaki in Nako Oshimizu's role.

Concluding, this is a suggested series for this season, so if you happen to like drama/comedy series go for it.
See you soon,
