Hello everyone,
Here we are for yet another review, this time we'll talk about a romantic light-novel/anime series (with big bits of drama here and there) that aired some years ago named Myself Yourself based on an original work by Takumi Nakazawa.

Let's start with a synopsis :
Sana Hidaka returns to his hometown after 5 years away living in Tokyo. Although there are some changes to the town, most has remained the same. On a detour to his apartments, he notices a girl in a shrine maiden outfit watching him when he visits the shrine. He finds out, the next day at school, that this girl is actually Nanaka Yatsushiro, his old childhood friend.
Oh, this story looks and acts like the classic harem story with the main character returning to a city filled with girls he knew about, but somehow he forgot about most of their past...

...but well they go into a different direction. The character is well focused on the girl he like, and the most of the story is filled with backstory discovery of the various characters of the series.
Some story were quite touching, especially Nanaka's past was really sad...when I watched the post container...well you can wonder.

The execution of the story is top notch, and the story while clichè for most part of it deliver some particular twist here and there that really you won't be able to predict (like the old lady wanna-be assassin
)
The ending is wonderful and very satisfying even thought I'd wanted to see more of the Syuri and Syusuke situation after their escape to be honest.

The characters of the story are few, but well defined and each one of them have a solid backstory explained during the series (even thought the anime focus mainly on the Nanaka's backstory that is by far the most complex our there).
There is some level of growth in the characters personality, especially regarding the Nanaka and Sana's relationship.
My favourite character is the cheerful and childish Hinako Mochida, she is one of the few characters that's able to create a little comedy in this otherwise rather serious series.

The graphical quality is pretty high with great girls design and with a rather decent animation consistency. (there are some problems, but nothing to worry about)
The sound quality is very good even thought there aren't many big names seiyuu working on this project. (except maybe Ami Koshimizu in Nanaka Yatsushiro's role and Mai Nakahara in Asami Hoshino's role...)
I also loved the opening song named "Tears Infection" sung by KAORI, and we may return on it later on.

Concluding, this is a very good romantic series that I suggest to anyone looking for romance and some drama with a story that escalate episode after episode and end up in a very satisfying way.
See you soon,
