Hello everyone,
This time we'll review a rather normal harem anime series based off a very famous erogè by company Lump of Sugar named Tayutama - Kiss on my Deity.
The anime series aired in 2009 and got 12 episodes very small for a long (30+ hours) work like this.

Let's start with a synopsis :
At Yachimata, there is a legend of a deity named Tayutayu-sama who protected the area, but this deity and other so-called "Tayutai" have been lost in time. Mito and his friends discover a relic on the school grounds with mysterious patterns on them. Then, at the opening ceremony of the new school year, an equally mysterious girl named Mashiro appears before Mito. Mashiro is somehow tied to the relic and the legend of Tayutayu-sama.
The anime adaptation unfortunately like I said in the title picked up the worst route in the original work and tried to adapt a mash-up of everything into a small 12 episodes series ruining a little the original work.

The story by itself is the classic of the classic, an attractive girl that appear out of nowhere get to live together with the protagonist declaring herself in love with him.
To add something on the top of it, all the girls that were in a cold-sleep type of relationship till now get incredible active and willing to get our protagonist in every way possible.

While there is nothing that this series can add to the genre, the execution of the already known elements is very good with great character interaction and solid backstories (especially in the erogè as the anime skipped through most of them)
The random mindless part of the series were very funny, especially whenever Yumina is present with her shyness and inner-thinking.

The characters are rather few, but each one of them is given a rather decent characterization and backstory. (you'll be able to remember them even after years you watched this series)
There is growth in some of the characters by the end of the game, but most of the characters remain mono-dimensional like it's almost always the case in this kind of works. (harem series in general, see for example Infinite Stratos)

My favourite characters of this series are two and are in order of like...
Ameri Kawai in first place for her nice style and look, but also for her "not honest with herself" character, in the anime they enforced too much the "jealousy" segment of her personality that while present is a lot less evident in the game.
Yumina Takanashi in second place because I love all the shy characters with strange line of thoughts in their heads.

The graphical quality of the series is like you can see wonderful with great girls design and nice backgroungs in both anime and original game. (even thought I prefer more the game one to be honest)
The animation of the anime series is quite good even thought there are some little problems with consistency in some episodes.

The sound quality is pretty good even though there are few famous seiyuu working on this project and all in minor role (except for Shizuka Itou in Mifuyu Kisaragi's role and Kaori Mizuhashi in Yumina Takanashi's role)
I quite liked the opening song named "The fine every day" by Kicco and I will likely open another post on it in the future.

Concluding this is a rather good series with great production values and is suggested if you like Harem/comedy series.
The only problem is the short duration (12 episodes) that doesn't allow for proper backstory builidng and the choice of Mashiro as heroine (instead of the very good stories the other heroines in the game have)
See you soon,
