Hello everyone,
Let's do a summary review of one of the most talked series in this blog (together with Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica) that is Infinite Stratos with Ichika's immense harem counting an endless number of girls from various nations.

The series started really promising with lot of action and nice characters introduction and a vague plot regarding the IS world that everybody (or well at least me) wanted to get expanded and detailed.
After a couple of episodes it devolve into a sequence of "girl arrive, show some resistance to Ichika and then fall in love desperately with him no idea why"...

And let's be honest till the end...it's not like this is a bad thing by itself, I quite liked almost all of the characters (except Tabane with her voice >_<) and the fanservice/comedy was of high quality. (the girls design is one of the best of the anime recently)
It's just that maybe I thought this would have been a masterpiece if correctly executed with maybe a 26 episode series and more plot-focused episodes as the concept behind the IS is good enough to be able to mount some reasonable story.

Yes, talking about the characters we have a great variety of girls here, all with some particular perks, but in the end all of them are insanely cute in their own ways.
Kudos to Charlotte to be in the end my all-time favourite (Rin is a nice second only because she got near to zero screen time in this series) with her dere-dere approach to conquer Ichika.

The IS design (while ignoring the fact that being opened is just a way to increase fanservice) is pretty good and full of detail and I found myself loving the Cecilia Alcott's personal IS named Blue Tears (looks elegant) and also Laura Bodewig's personal IS named Schwarzer Hase. (looks just STRONG)

The ending of this series was meh at best, while the final battle involving all the girls IS was well developed, the whole concept of Ichika dying and get resurrected just for the sake of the climax was a little disappointing.
Same level of disappointment is to power up the IS just at the end. (Sounds too plot-device...)

Second season expectations?
Yes, I'm hoping for more of this if possible, maybe they'll be able to explore more plot-driven story in a future adaptation with the already well-built cast (it's a little to sad to give good-bye to all this cast just when they are finally united) and maybe some new addition as harems are never really complete!

Anyway, this is a suggested series for anyone looking for a good fanservice/comedy series with plenty of beautiful girls running around a single "lucky" guy.
See you soon,
