Hello everyone,
Let's go ahead with a review of a rather funny and with high production value light novel/manga/anime series of the last years named Wagaya no Oinari-sama based on an original work by Jin Shibamura.

Let's go with a synopsis :
Noboru and Toru are two brothers that have grown away from their family's secret. The fact that their family can use the Water ki and can ward off demons. But when a demon is after Toru's life, in order for the family to keep him safe they need to awaken the fox-spirit Kūgen. Kūgen will not help for the sake of the family but only for the sake of the children's late mother.
And here we are with a classic youkai story, but this time with a added plus to it. This time the fox can transform in both male and female form to please both type of fan!

Joking aside, the series story while very clichè it's nicely integrated and well linked episode after episode giving a good feeling of "story" to it instead of a bunch of unrelated episodes.
To be honest, the most funny episodes were the one involving Misaki Sakura, I love when she get into her daydreaming illusion and start spewing strange things all at once.

Another nice note of the story is whenever Kou appear with her humble presence, but unfortunately like Tenko, she's completely clumsy and end up making more troubles than anything. (She's skilled at fight at least!)
The characters are many, but all of them have particular physical and emotional distinctive point that make easy to distinguish between them from the start of the series.

As I said in the title, my favourite and best character is very undecided as there are two characters I love in this series that is Kou and Misaki that I talked about right before.
Ignoring the physical aspect as they're both too cute and beautiful to compare, let's go on the personality aspect.

Misaki as good points has her endless chain of illusions and big unwavering love for Noboru. (Demonstrated when she get ipnotized to protect Noboru from the Werewolves)
Kou on the other end is humble and she tries in every way possible to be of use to the Takagami brothers (ending up making some disaster, but well it's part of her character)
I guess in the end, I'll go with two favourite character in this series too...

The graphical quality is top notch, and I liked a lot more the anime style than the light novel one. (The light novel one looks too much impersonal with few detail). The animation has been consistent most episodes and the battle scenes looked quite good.
The sound quality is top notch, we have a lot of famous seiyuu here like Yukana in Tenko's role, Yui Horie in Miyako's role (the mother of the brothers), Daisuke Ono as Ebisu, Rie Kugimiya as Shiro/Tsukuyomi, and many others.

Concluding, this is a quite good series with high production values and funny content. It is not a masterpiece, but anyway a nice pick if you wanna get some fun with a supernatural series.
See you soon,
