Hello everyone,
Let's go back to review some old anime series I liked in the past. This time we'll explore one of my favourites of the last years (at least in graphical style) named Nanatsuiro Drops and is adapted from an erogè created by UNiSONSHIFT famous also for Flyable Heart.

Let's start with a synopsis :
Tsuwabuki is a normal student, though not very social. One day he meets a new transfer student, named Sumomo Akihime, and another girl, both the only members of the gardening club. Tsuwabuki is forced by a teacher to join this club. But then he bumps into a strange guy with dog ears, switching his drink with they guy's by mistake. Drinking it, he is turned in a stuffed animal. The teacher tells him that the only way to turn back to normal is to find the chosen girl and let her catch the seven stardrops. This girl is Sumomo, who agrees to help him, though she's not allowed to know the animal's true identity.
Oh, this is a rather cute story to start with. A lot "fuwa fuwa", if you catch the K-On terminology, and with tons of mahou shoujos action.

While the premise is quite simple, the execution is quite good, especially for a series animated from an erogè. (I haven't played fully the erogè, but only some routes so I can't talk completely about it)
The whole concept of the male lead changed into a familiar (a good one, not Kyubey style) is quite fresh and open a lot of plot types to be explored.

I'll be honest, I loved the anime ending even with the bitterness of the lost memory, but nevertheless a good end as the pair is still together in love!
On the erogè side I actually preferred the other endings as Sumomo isn't actually my type of character at all.

The characters, just like all the backgrounds and the world around them, are all cute and good willed. There is some growth showed during this series, but to be honest the backstory of the characters is better reproduced in the erogè.
My favourite character is by far Nadeshiko Yaeno, the Sumomo's best friend and the first to notice the change!

The visual quality....well there is not much to say about this. This series sports one of the best visual novel graphic style ever at least for me (I love all the works from this company as the graphics is so colorful and each of the characters well defined) and the anime while not being the same kind of masterpiece it's quite likable.

The animation quality is pretty high even thought there have been some slight graphical problem during the series.
Loved also the opening aniamtion, it's wonderfully colorful, well animated and all the effects regarding sakura's petals are wonderful!

Sound quality, while not at par with graphical quality, is pretty good. There are quite some big name in this series too like Mai Goto in Yuki-chan's role and Michiru Yuimoto in Sumomo's role.
My favourite seiyuu in this series is Kaori Shimizu in Nadeshiko Yaeno's role. (Well, it overlap my best character choice so it was a little expected)

Concluding, this is a quite suggested series if you're looking for something to relax with. It's a quite slow-paced, romance/comedy story with a wonderful graphical style and some twist till the end!
See you soon,
