Hello everyone,
Yes, as the title says, the director from Infinite Stratos are trying to make plot in the remaining two episodes and that's an incredible feat to try after the countless comedy and fanservice of 80% of the series!

The eleventh episode start with a powered up Houki thinking she can destroy everything and everything, but after an half decent battle, Ichika protect her reporting "serious" damage and go-go-go drama with Houki thinking it's her responsability!

They even managed to put some backstory building showing some scene from years ago to keep the viewer emotionally attached to the characters.
But how can you be emotionally attached to a world where they send students with no real war experience in battle against an unknown and undefined enemy power?

To add it to the top, they don't even send the more experienced students (like the hax power loli Laura with her new generation IS), but the least experienced one! One of the two (Houki) only got her personal IS just minutes before!
Are they for real? Are they even trying?

I'll be honest, If this happened just 5-6 episodes ago I may have given to this whole plot more credibility and focus, but trying to put up some big drama over this farce isn't really the best they could've done especially on a two episode-arc as the series will end in the next episode.

I'm halfway reading the first and only available manga volume and for now it seems to be following closely the anime (thought with a graphical style that is quite superior to the anime one in my honest opinion), but I hope that having a written medium they'll try to care more about building up storyline following the light novel.

I mean, I can't think that they managed to write and sell 6 volumes of light novel all focused on fanservice/comedy/romance with random drama added randomly in it.
Returning to this series, I would like to see a continuation to this anime, but only if they decide if to deliver ONLY fanservice and comedy or ONLY plot.

Trying to do both only end up irritating the viewer and lowering the overall quality of the work, that until now was a rather top-class fanservice/comedy series.
Well, let's wait and see how they manage to bring closures to this adaptation with the next episode! (I bet 5 cent for a open-ended ending with all the girls still following Ichika)
See you soon,
