Hello everyone,
Let's go with another review of a comedy light novel/manga/anime named Kyouran Kazoku Nikki (The light novel has been quite long running with well 26 volumes) that aired some years ago

Let's go with a synopsis :
Thousands of years ago the God of destruction ,Enka, died saying thats its child would destroy the world.Thousands of years later the potential children of Enka are found (some human , some not) and take part in the Peaceful Family Operation in order to discover who the true child of Enka is and stop them from destroying the world by teaching them the importance of family love.
Yes, the story behind this series is like the title says quite crazed and while the synopsis may look normal don't be fooled!

This series merges comedy with fast paced action and when you start to think "oh, that's a plot!", it'll just change to talk about something pointless or out-of-the-box leaving you disillusioned.
This is after all the charm of this series, the totally random and yet fun episodes that run one after another. (and there are quite some as the series is of 26 episodes)

This continuous series of random episodes after a while get you into knowing more and more of the backstory of each character and to the open-ended ending of the anime. (it was easy to see through as the light novel has enough material for 3-4 series of this length)
This is another of the series I would like to have a look at the manga so keep an eye on this blog for further update as soon as I get a copy of it.

The main characters of the story are many, but to each one of them has enough screen time and backstory building to know them better and care about them.
The series does not rush and let you know them one by one while running on the background the main plot. I know it's shocking to say this, but even if feeble, there is a main plot!

My favourite character is Hyouka, but I'm highly influenced by the fact that he is voiced by Ryou Hirohashi that I love.
Second running up is Chika after being "saved" by her family (not the hateful one) thanks to a armed raid by the Kyouran Kazoku. (That episode maked me crack laughing more than once)

The visual quality of the series is top notch even if the style of the characters is quite "unique" and it will take some time to adapt to it. The animation is also consistent in most episodes and the issues are barely visible.
Loved the opening animation of the series that mix perfectly the crazed theme into a colorful piece of art.

The sound quality is also top notch with very famous seiyuu like Kana Hanazawa in Yuuka's role, Ryou Hirohashi in Hyouka's Role, Haruka Tomatsu in Chika's role and others...
As I loved the animation I loved also the song of the opening of this series named "Chōsai Kenbo Sengen" sung by "MOSAIC.WAV". As I said before, it resemble the very definition of "crazy" and it is catchy enough to hear it frequently.

Concluding this is one of the suggested series to everyone looking for a comedy series with solid character development and random crazy episodes here and there.
Give a look at it, I loved this series!
See you soon,
