Hello everyone,
Here we are for another review (Yes, we're going on a streak lately with new reviews) about a rather old manga/anime series named "Girls Bravo" written by Mario Kaneda.

Let's start with a synopsis :
Small for his age, Yukinari has been bullied and abused by girls all his life. Now in high school, he has developed a rare condition: whenever girls touch him, or even come close, he breaks out in hives. Imagine his surprise, when he is suddenly transported to the city of Seiren on a mystic world invisibly orbiting the Earth, and populated with vast numbers of women and very few men. Fortunately, he has a new friend, Miharu-chan, whose touch inexplicably doesn't affect him.
Yeah, I think at the moment you share my feeling. This is a rather generic harem series story, that were quite famous in the old days (this is a series of the 2005 after all).

The story by itself is clichè, but the execution is quite good and after an initial hate for the main character you'll find yourself attracted to this series. (Be it only for the wonderful girls featured in it)
The series is divided into mini-arc of a single episode focusing on a particular character/theme, so you can (after watching the first episode) just zap in any of the other episodes and you'll most likely not feel the difference.

I loved many of these episodes, but my favourite is by far the ones that revolves around the Koyomi's androphobia and the consequences that this situation has on the characters around her. (Especially the protagonist)
This theme is something you can't just grow tired of (as I loved also Mahiru from Working for the same reason)

The recurring characters are rather few (we can count five main girls, the protagonist and the brother of one of the girls), but all of them are beautiful (the girls) and likable.
The only exception is the brother of Lisa named Kazuharu as his hentai antics are rather annoying (even if thanks to him we get some nice shot from the girls
)

In this series I have two favourite characters, the first one is Koyomi with her cute fear of man and rather lack of experience in the real world.
The second one is Lisa, her crazy and energetic behaviour is one of the most refreshing things you'll see in this series. (She's a master of black magic after all!)

The visual quality of this series is not the top that existed in that period, but is mostly good. I especially liked the design of the girls! (each one of them is quite unique in the traits)
The animation is quite consistent with minor problems in some small scenes. I loved the first opening of the series, it's colorful and refreshing to see.

The sound quality is top notch, we have many big names around this series like Mamiko Noto in Yukinari's role, Chiwa Saito in Kojima's role and many others.
My favourite character's voice in this series is by far Yuki Matsuoka in Lisa's role.

To be honest, this is a series with high production values, but just isn't a series for everyone. If you can't stand high amount of fanservice or mindless/violent jokes just forget about it.
For all the others, enjoy the fun just like me and don't think much about plot. This series is just to get some fun!
See you soon,
