Hello,
Let's go ahead with another review of a manga/anime series that aired some years ago named Needless written by Kami Imai that attracted quite some attention due the rather "love love" ending animation. (You remember it right?!
)

Let's start with a synopsis :
In the near future, mankind has suffered from a Third World War, leaving extreme damage all over and forced mankind to become even more distinct from their species. The world was at chaos and from this chaos comes a new species: “Needless”. The Needless are humans who have contracted a “disease” as humans may call them, and allow them to wield extraordinary powers far superior to any mankind. Their abilities include Telekinesis, elemental powers, gravity control, adaptation, radioactive release and all manners of scientific impossibility.
Here we are with a story that looks like picked up from a shounen manga adapted into a seinen one (it is pretty evident from the abundant fanservice and brutal violence in some scenes).

The story by itself isn't the most interesting, but the character interaction is quite funny so I ended up watching all of the episodes in two intensive run.
One downside of the story (at least anime wise) is that they end up cracking jokes right in the middle of some drama scene with people dead or traumatized by some revelations making everything look weird.

The characters are quite interesting, but it will take quite a while to get to like them (and probably more to know their backstory). As for me I started hating most of the main cast until half season so well...
My favourite characters are the three girls of the "Beautiful girl corps" named Mio, Setsuna and Kuchinashi, they are too cute even if they are for most series (if we don't count the school-life omake) the enemy that is trying to kill the protagonists.

The graphical quality is pretty high, and it got a quite original style (looking a little americanized) to the drawings. The animation is mostly consistent, but it had a couple of little problems during the long series (especially in the fast paced battles).
The animation of the opening and ending is wonderful, I loved the first ending with the three girls from the "Beautiful girl corps" flirting with each other.

The sound quality is also quite high, we have many famous seiyuu here like Eri Kitamura, Aya Endo, Minori Chihara, etc... and their experience is well showed here.
The opening and ending song were all quite addicting, my favourite one is "Aggressive Zone" sung by the female cast of the series. (I'll likely make a new post later on to talk about it)

Concluding this is a quite interesting series to watch if you don't get irritated over some extra fanservice and some rather sudden jokes in not-that-ideal situations.
I do not suggest this as a starting series as the quantity of fanservice and the convoluted story may end up as a turn-off.
See you soon,
