Hello everyone,
Here we are again for another review with some wallpapers. This time we'll talk about a romantic manga/anime, one of the best of all time, named "Sola" that is a work written by Naoki Hisaya.

Let's start up with a synopsys :
Yorito Morimiya loves taking pictures of the sky so much that one day, he wakes up at 4 am to take pictures of the sunrise overlooking the bay. However, he is deterred when he meets a strange girl trying to force a vending machine that stole her money. Yorito helps her with forcing the machine but when the machine finally vends, the girl has mysteriouslly vanished.
This is one nice romance/drama story with twist here and there and a generally dark feeling around it. (You can expect some really sad story here)
The peculiarity is that adds some action/fighting scenes to the top making it a rather original series.

The story has a wonderful execution and pace during the whole run and is left out at the ending with a rather "uncertain" situation. (The two can of tomato juice on the bench!)

The characters are pretty likable and each one of them do get enough screen-time and backstory building to make you remember and care about them.
My favourite character is by far Matsuri for her cute antics, her sad backstory and her powerful will to make the saddest choice to resolve everything.

The graphical quality is pretty high level, even if the animation when there is too much action it does get a little inconsistent. (barely noticable problems if you're watching the series)
The opening and ending animations are pretty nicely done and fits the theme of the series that is the blue sky!

The sound quality is one of the main point other than the story for this series. With seiyuu like Mamiko Noto, Nakahara Mai, etc.. you can't really go wrong.
Regarding the songs feautured in the anime, I especially liked the opening song named "Colorless wind" by Aira Yuuki and will probably dedicate a post on it later on.

Concluding, you can expect a great run watching this anime series. It has everything that is needed to make a masterpiece anime series. A solid plot, a wonderful execution of the same and proper production (graphic and sound) values.

I suggest this series to anyone looking for a serious story with some fantastic element in it, you won't be disappointed.
Just avoid it if you can't stand sad stories otherwise you'll be in a great pain after watching it.
See you soon,

P.S. If only they could've animated a more happy ending...
