Hello everyone,
Let's go with a new review! This time we'll talk about a recent action/comedy light novel/manga/anime named "Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo" that aired in the 2009 and got a 26 episodes adaptation.

Let's start with a synopsis :
In the year 311 of the orbital calendar, humanity has migrated to countless colony clusters in space. Akiha Shishido encounters a malevolent artificial intelligence, Leopard, who has been installed on a colony. She is joined by Inter-Colony-Police officer Itsuki Kannagi, taciturn young girl Honoka Kawai and a robot-potato, Imoko "Imo-chan" Shishido.
Let's start by saying that most of the fun in this series comes from Leopard and his antics voiced through Jun Fukuyama (in Lelouch mode), while most of the other characters lack in personality.
The story by itself isn't the most interesting or compelling (filled with clichè here and there), but the episodes doesn't get boring and you'll find yourself at the end of the series very soon.
Just don't expect drama, this is a story that end in a happy end, no matter what deus ex machina they have to use to.

The main recurring characters other than Leopard are the three girls around him (Akiha, Itsuki and Konoha), each one following a particular archetype of personality. The characters are mostly likable, but I found myself more than once encouraging the bad guys.
My favourite character is the silent Konoha, loved her cool personality and her composed voice. (she is voiced by the wonderful Yui Makino)

The visual quality is top notch (as you can expect from Sunrise) and the animation is mostly consistent during the whole series. Opening and Ending animations were quite cute, but nothing exceptional to be remembered.
The sound quality is also top notch. This series feautures some of the most famous seiyuu out there while merging them with some less famous one.

For example, we have Jun Fukuyama in Leopard role, Yui Makino in Honoka role, Mako (Who can forget about Yurie in Kamichu?! I loved her) in Akiha role, etc...
The opening song isn't the best out there, but I particularly loved the second ending named "Espacio" from Ceui. (But I know I'm biased as I love Ceui's music
)

To conclude, this is a quite nice anime to pass some relaxing time and I suggest it to anyone looking for a nice comedy.
This is probably not a good idea for a newcomer due to the references to other series (that probably will be missed) and a little excessive fanservice.

This is all for now!
See you soon,

P.S. I lol'd hard at the first scene where Asimo appear and kick ass.
