Hello everyone,
Let's go ahead with a new review. This time we'll cover a funny manga/anime series that got adapted some years ago, but I still sometimes go watch some episode to cheer me up.
It's name is Seto no Hanayome and is a work written by Tahiko Kimura (the manga completed it's run on December 2010)

Let's start up with a synopsis :
A young boy gets saved from drowning by a mermaid but, according to mermaid law, if a human sees a mermaid's true form, both have to be killed. The only solution to the problem is for him to marry her. (but the problem arise when the parents of this girl appear to be leader of some yakuza group)
The story is pretty standard for a comedy/harem/romance anime. Start up with a sudden girl appearance and then one by one, the harem increase with an army of girls folliwing our protagonist.
The main difference in the plot is that other than the girls there are various groups of Yakuza following our protagonist as well, and that is the main focus of the comedy part of this series.

The characters are many, but it's easy to remember each one of them as they have some particular trait or antic that make you recognize them.
If I have to give my favourites...well for the males I'll give Lunar's father (basically terminator), I'm still laughing about that fantastic sailor fuku appearance and the crying face of both Lunar and Sun. (with Sun screaming "I don't wanna go to school if my father is doing the same!")
For females I'll go with Sun, she's quite funny and cute. I love her voice when she goes into chibi mode! (Mawari is a nice second in the rankings)

The main character doesn't get annoying and is not a wimp (he's like Touma without the infinite speeches and almost-cheat power), instead during the series grows up to get supernatural reflexes to avoid danger (thanks to all the screams he got from Sun).
The graphical department is top notch and pretty consistent during the whole series. Opening and Ending animations were quite funny and interesting to watch. (The opening on the beach with the yakuza trying to kill Nagasumi was the best
)

The sound department is very high quality, we have many in-anime songs sung by both Lunar or Sun. (Romantic Summer is the best after all)
The seiyuu I most liked in this series is Haruko Momoi (the same that has done a lot of the Prism Ark songs that I still hear today) that had the Sun-chan role.

Concluding, this is by far the most solid comedy/harem series of the last years, if you want to get some real fun or are looking to watch a nice harem series this has to be your first pick! You won't regret it.

See you soon,
