Here we are again to review another manga/anime series quite popular in the recent years. It's name is Mahou Sensei Negima (Negima! Magister Negi Magi for the english release) and is one of the longest manga to date. (with 32 volumes by now)
Let's start with a quick synopsys :
After graduated from a magic academy, 10-year-old genius boy Negi Springfield was assigned to a huge Japanese school as an English teacher for practical training. To his surprise, the 8th grade class assigned for him is all-girl. In addition to teaching (and being teased by) those 31 pretty girls while trying to keep his magic capability in secret, he's also looking for clues about his father, who was once known as "Thousands Master" but mysteriously disappeared years ago.
After graduating from Merdiana Magic School in Wales, 10-year old prodigy Negi Springfield is assigned to be an English teacher at Mahora Academy in Japan as training to become a Magister Magi. To his surprise, he is tasked with a class of 31 older girls, 2-A. The story tells his life and times as he juggles with keeping his magic a secret, trying to gain acceptance and respect from his students, helping them with their problems as their teacher, dealing with threats from inside and outside the academy, and finding his father, the legendary "Thousand Master".
The story is quite interesting indeed, and the cast as you can see is very big (31 girls plus him plus some teachers).
Unfortunately the story picks a bad shounen direction in the manga making it a series of enemy-boss-powerup-enemy-boss-powerup...etc...
The anime, by itself, had two different adaptations. One original (and effectly crap) and one following more closely the manga (that's the good one).
The story in the second anime is quite good and does not bore the viewer, even though you get yourself to the end still with some pending question. (and you have to pick the manga to answer them)
The characters are the main focus of the series. We have a incredible number of main characters (the whole class plus teachers).
This from one side is nice, from another give little space for character development and growth.
I found myself even after watching both series of the anime to remember only a couple of names beside Negi and that's bad...
The graphical department is quite nice, but not exceptional (follows the typical style of Ken Akamatsu). The animation is anyway mostly consistent during the series.
The Seiyuu used in this anime are mostly famous with some rare exception. The Opening and Ending are quite catchy and I found myself hearing them many times.
My favourite character is "Nodoka Miyazaki" (Mamiko Noto *_*). She's so incredibly cute in every thing she does....also her suka form is the best (little seal!!! 
)
Concluding, this may be a good pick for you if you're into comedy, harem and shounen-like battles. (Otherwise stay away)
