Hello everyone,
Here we are again reviewing yet a new series. This series is an anime original project that spawned an infinity of manga, light novels and subsequent anime series. Its name is "Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha"!!!

Let's start up with a synopsys :
The storyline follows Nanoha Takamachi, a nine-year-old Japanese girl attending elementary school, who lives with her parents and her older siblings. Nanoha's regular everyday life ends when she rescues an injured ferret who reveals himself as a young shapeshifting mage named Yūno Scrya. An archaeologist from a parallel universe, Yūno came to Earth to collect a set of twenty-one dangerous ancient artifacts named the "Jewel Seeds" that he first discovered in his own world. Jewel Seeds give living beings who come into contact with them unnatural powers, often turning them into monsters, and Yūno, injured while trying to collect them, must now rely on Nanoha while he convalesces in ferret form. He gives Nanoha an "intelligent device" (magical wand) called "Raising Heart", and she unexpectedly shows strong aptitude for magic. As the two gather the Jewel Seeds, Nanoha learns magic from Yūno while continuing with her ordinary everyday life.
Before starting talking about the story....NO, Yuno is not like Kyubey (hopefully
), there are no creepy facial close-in or "contracts" to sign, but as you may know this series is directed by the same director as Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (Akiyuki Shinbo)...

The story is probably the very classic of all mahou shoujo anime at least until the third series (then they change everything with a grown up Nanoha and Fate), but quite well defined and enjoyable. (the last film is fantastic)

The characters...no they're not picked up from K-On (I was wondering if to post those 2 wallpapers on the K-ON post or on this one...
).
Anyway, the characters are likable and you'll likely end up loving like many of us the adorable Fate and Nanoha and their own antics. There is growth in each character as this series span many years and happening. (the difference in character between little Nanoha and big Nanoha is remarkable)

The seiyuu in this anime are top notch (Nana Mizuki, Kaori Mizuhashi, etc...) and the OP and ED song are all quite catchy (may post a review of one or two of them later on).

Concluding, this is a good anime to watch and to suggest to someone as first anime, there isn't excessive fanservice and the story is quite good.

Now stop peeping on my Fate and go watch the series!!!

P.S. Well yes, my favourite (like million of other people) is Fate.
