Goodmorning,
Here we are talking about another original anime project that aired in the last winter anime season (2010). It's name is So-Ra-No-Wo-To and is part of the Anime-No-Chikara project (that maked series like Senkou no Night Raid).

Let's start up with the synopsys :
So Ra No Wo To revolves around a young girl named Kanata Sorami who is inspired to join the military after witnessing a rendition of "Amazing Grace" by a mysterious trumpeter of the Helvetian Army. Becoming a bugler, she is assigned to the 1121st Platoon stationed in the town of Seize (inspired by Cuenca, Spain) in Helvetia (another name for Switzerland), where she is taken into the care of 2nd Lt. Filicia Heideman, M/Sgt. Rio Kazumiya and the rest of the 1121st Platoon. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world after a great war regressed humanity's technological capabilities back to early-to-mid 20th century standards.
Yeah, looks like a quite original story in both settings and development. The story is pretty much light-hearted except for some particular drmaa scenes toward the end of the series where the real content of the plot flesh out and give us the happy conclusion.

The characters are all likable and you'll love them after a couple of episodes. Each one of them has a personal episode or series of episodes narrating their past or explaining their behaviour. There is space for growth for each character through this anime, and you'll see slightly change in behaviour and relation between the characters.

The seiyuu aren't the most famous, but do a good job impersonating the characters. There are no forced lines, but all seems quite natural. OP and ED are fantastic and both are in my playlist from the time of airing! (I'll do another post later on to talk about them)

Concluding, this is a fantastic series to watch and a good pick to introduce someone to the world of the anime. (The ending fighting scene was spectacular and emotional isn't it?
)

That's all for now, but we'll see again soon to talk about the OP/ED!
See ya

P.S. Mhn...I don't have a particular favourite character in this series, but if I'd have to pick...Noël Kannagi!!!
