by feal8731. January 2011 08:41 Hello,
Here we are again talking about Gosick...this time to do a full review.
Gosick is a light novel/manga/anime currently on air in japan and slated for 26 episodes. Let's go see the synopsys from wikipedia right away like always :
Gosick takes place in 1924 in a small, made-up European country of Sauville. The story centers on Kazuya Kujo, the third son of a Japanese Imperial soldier, who is a transfer student to St. Marguerite Academy, where urban legends and horror stories are all the rage. There he meets Victorique, a mysterious yet beautiful and brilliant girl who never comes to class and spends her days reading the entire content of the library or solving mysteries that even detectives can't solve. The series mostly focuses on Kazuya and Victorique getting involved in different mystery cases and their struggle to solve them, at the same time forming important bonds with different people.

First of all, don't be scared, this story is FANTASTIC, very well written and with some surprises over the course (only saw 4 episodes of the anime, so can't talk for the whole series).
The main character is pretty normal, and the main heroine is superb...the dub is doing a great job to take those characters to life and is never tiring to hear them.

Another thing particularly impressed me is the quality OP and ED. Let's go see the ED (it has a wonderful song on it by Komine Lisa called "Resuscitated Hope")
What to say more? I'm planning to buy both album and manga (probably February shipment as well?) as soon as possible, so I may make another post just to give you the manga covers and impressions!

That's all for now,
