by feal872. February 2012 22:30 Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about the 15th episode of the fall 2011 anime series Guilty Crown that marks the 15th episode of cliche and boring story developments all-around.
In the end after this episode, just like I announced in the last post I decided to drop this series from regular coverage (may do some random post if the story ever get better) in order to make space to more promising/interesting anime series. I'm still quite undecided on what to pick up as new series to cover regularly. (Black rock shooter? Inu X Boku SS?)
But please do not misunderstand me, it's not like Guilty Crown has bad production quality, it's just that the story is so boring and unbelievable that I can't bear to cover it regularly.
Especially after a character I dearly loved (even if she wasn't my favourite character) dies off just to make an idiotic protagonist grow up. I'm also unsure she really managed to do it in the proper way...

by feal8726. January 2012 22:09 Hello everyone,
Here we are for our weekly time with Guilty Crown, one of the fall 2011 anime series, that continues its way on the road of cheesiness by adding new elements to the story, some of which I was even able to predict in the last episode.
Yes, guys...they have a power meter to calculate void powers (Some sort of scouter similar to Dragon Ball). I was like "okay, now we just miss the 'it's over 9000' line", and unfortunately we got it just seconds after when Shu was measuring Inori.
It seems that Inori's power is over 2000 that is, by the way, the limit of this particular power meter. I'm still not sure about why these lowly bandits had such an item, but well...

by feal8719. January 2012 22:39 Hello everyone,
Here we are to talk again about the 13th episode of the anime series Guilty Crown that delivered a quite interesting episode focusing on Ayase going cute-blush on Shu and Tsugumi playing around in a neko-mimi maid costume.
What is the relationship between these events and the whole conspiracy story they were developing with extreme detail till the last episode revolving around the creation of a new human race using some kind of alien stone?
Well, I have no idea as well, but I have to say that I preferred this simple filler/fanservice episode to the random infodump and suggestive scenery of the last one.

by feal8712. January 2012 21:51 Hello everyone,
Here we are, after two weeks of wait due to the holiday break, to talk about the anime series Guilty Crown that finally manages to complete the first main story arc and (just as Rei predicted) is looking more and more like Gurren Lagann in terms of plot development...
I was appalled by the cheap and cheesy "emotional" death of Gai and the whole affair revolving around the incident was badly explained and with too few details to make any sense.
They also killed off Mana without even giving us enough time to know her better (aside from her "shota" preferences well explained in this episode) or even a chance to save her from that horrible destiny. Since when being killed again by your own brother and lover is "salvation"?

by feal8722. December 2011 22:48 Hello everyone,
Here we are to talk about the 11th episode of the shounen action anime series named Guilty Crown that continues to develop on the "shounen way" killing off the protagonist's mentor (Gai) and kidnapping his love interest (Inori) in order to make him grow and become a more bearable character.
The development in this episode was fluid and well animated, but extremely predictable. From Dan and Gai's death to Inori's song and kidnapping, everything just moved along the script just as I imagined it.
The most negative part of it was the fact that the whole episode was so damn cheesy that I really felt embarassed to watch it. It's not much about the plot devices used, but more about the reactions these devices created in the various characters.
